Pablo Kang
Pablo Kang (born 1973) is an Australian diplomat and public servant serving as the Australian ambassador to Cambodia since January 2020. He was Australian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates from 2012 to 2016 and Australian High Commissioner to Vanuatu from 2009 to 2010. Life and career Born in 1973, Pablo Kang was named after the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. His parents had emigrated to Australia from Korea in the 1960s. Kang took up an appointment as Australian High Commissioner to Vanuatu in January 2009. He was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Australian Government's new aid development arrangements and for arranging Vanuatu's participation in the Pacific Seasonal Worker Pilot Scheme. When he returned to Australia in 2010, Kang was appointed Assistant Secretary heading the International Organisations Branch. Excellency
Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Once entitled to the title "Excellency", the holder usually retains the right to that courtesy throughout their lifetime, although in some cases the title is attached to a particular office, and is held only for the duration of that office. Generally people addressed as ''Excellency'' are heads of state, heads of government, governors, ambassadors, Roman Catholic bishops and high-ranking ecclesiastics and others holding equivalent rank (e.g., heads of international organizations). Members of royal families generally have distinct addresses ( Majesty, Highness, etc.) It is sometimes misinterpreted as a title of office in itself, but in fact is an honorific that precedes various titles (such as Mr. President, and so on), both in speech and in writing.
