Paasio I Cabinet
Paasio's first cabinet was the 50th government of Finland, which lasted from 27 May 1966 to 22 March 1968. It was a majority government based on the popular front model. The cabinet’s Prime Minister was Rafael Paasio. Paasio's first cabinet made many political reforms, such as the primary school law, the party subsidies law, family and pension law, and the liberation of the sale of certain alcoholic beverages. Finnish People's Democratic League
Finnish People's Democratic League ( fi, Suomen Kansan Demokraattinen Liitto, SKDL; sv, Demokratiska Förbundet för Finlands Folk, DFFF) was a Finnish political organisation with the aim of uniting those left of the Finnish Social Democratic Party. It was founded in 1944 as the anti-communist laws in Finland were repealed due to the demands of the Soviet Union, and lasted until 1990, when it merged into the newly formed Left Alliance. At its time, SKDL was one of the largest leftist parties in capitalist Europe, with its main member party, the Communist Party of Finland, being one of the largest communist parties west of the Iron Curtain. Ele Alenius
Ele Allan Alenius (5 June 1925 – 19 November 2022) was a Finnish socialist politician. He was a Member of the Parliament of Finland for the Finnish People's Democratic League (SKDL) 1966–1977 and the Deputy Minister of Finance 1966–1970. Alenius was also the chairman of the SKDL 1967–1979. Alenius was born to the family of the stonemason and Red Guardist August Elenius. In the World War II, Alenius fought in the Finnish Army.
