The PSLV-C43 was the 45th mission of the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) program. It carried and deployed a total of 31 satellites, including the primary payload HySIS in sun-synchronous orbits. It was launched on 29 November 2018 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. List Of PSLV Launches
This is a list of launches made by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) using Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rockets. Notable missions PSLV flight D1 This was the first developmental flight of the PSLV-D1. The IRS-1E satellite which was proposed to be launched was derived from the engineering model of IRS-1A incorporating a similar camera and an additional German-built monocular electro-optical stereo scanner. Even though the mission was a failure, the launch team and an expert committee appointed thereafter noted that the mission had validated many technologies and that most sub-systems had performed optimally. HySIS
HySIS (Hyperspectral Imaging Satellite) is an Earth observation satellite which will provide hyperspectral imaging services to India for a range of applications in agriculture, forestry and in the assessment of geography such as coastal zones and inland waterways The data will also be accessible to India's defence forces. Before HySIS, other Indian hyperspectral imaging payloads were HySI (Hyper Spectral Imager) on IMS-1 and Chandrayaan-1 and LiVHySI (Limb Viewing Hyper Spectral Imager) on YouthSat. Payloads HySIS carries two payloads, the first is the Visible Near Infrared (VNIR) with spectral range of 0.4 to 0.95 micrometres with 60 contiguous spectral bands and the second is the Shortwave Infrared Range (SWIR) with spectral range of 0.85 to 2.4 micrometres with a 10 nanometre bandwidth and 256 contiguous spectral bands.
