PSIM Yogyakarta
Perserikatan Sepakbola Indonesia Mataram, commonly known as PSIM, is a professional football club based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Their home stadium is the Mandala Krida Stadium. They play in Liga 2. History The history of the founding of PSIM began on September 5, 1929 with the birth of a football organization called the Perserikatan Sepak Raga Mataram (PSM). The name Mataram was used because Yogyakarta was the center of the Mataram Kingdom. Then on July 27, 1930 the name PSM was changed to the Perserikatan Sepakbola Indonesia Mataram (PSIM) as a demand for the national movement to achieve Indonesian independence. Mataram Sultanate
The Sultanate of Mataram () was the last major independent Javanese kingdom on the island of Java before it was colonised by the Dutch. It was the dominant political force radiating from the interior of Central Java from the late 16th century until the beginning of the 18th century. The 2006 Liga Indonesia Premier Division (also known as the Liga Djarum Indonesia for sponsorship reasons) was the 12th season of the Liga Indonesia Premier Division, the top Indonesian professional league for association football clubs. Due to the effects of the 2006 Yogyakarta earthquake, PSSI and league organizers announced, in a controversial decision, that no teams would be relegated during the season. Persatuan Sepakbola Lamongan, or commonly known as Persela, is an Indonesian football club based in Lamongan, East Java. Currently the club plays in Liga 2, the second tier of football in the country. The 1999–2000 Liga Indonesia Premier Division (known as the Liga Bank Mandiri for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth season of the Liga Indonesia Premier Division, the top division of Indonesian football. The 1994–95 Liga Indonesia Premier Division (known as the Liga Dunhill for sponsorship reasons) was the inaugural season of the Liga Indonesia Premier Division, the top division of Indonesian football following the merger of Perserikatan and Galatama. The Indonesian football league system is a series of league system for association football clubs in Indonesia. Since 1994, Liga Indonesia is the league competition featuring association football clubs, as a result of two existing top-flight football leagues merger: Perserikatan (amateur) and Galatama (semi professional).
