Botev ( bg, Ботев) is a Bulgarian professional association football, football club based in Vratsa, that competes in the First Professional Football League (Bulgaria), First League, the top division of Bulgarian football. The club was founded in 1921. Since 1948, Botev have played their home games at Stadion Hristo Botev (Vratsa), Stadion Hristo Botev. It is situated in the Hristo Botev sport complex, in the east part of Vratsa. The stadium originally had 25 000 seats. After a recent reconstruction, which took place in the first half of 2008 and in 2009, the stadium has 7 reconstructed seated sectors with a total of 6 417 seats. Botev's longest continuous period in the top tier was 26 consecutive seasons between 1964 and 1990. Stadion Hristo Botev (Vratsa)
Stadion Hristo Botev ( bg, Стадион „Христо Ботев“, en, 'Hristo Botev Stadium' ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Vratsa, Bulgaria. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. It has been the home of Botev Vratsa for 60 years. The stadium was built in 1948 and has a seating capacity of 6,417 spectators. After the approval of a project worth € 150 000, in 2008 the stadium was renovated and had 2,255 seats, spread in the 3 central sectors. In June 2009, the Botev Vratsa management approved a second project, worth € 120 000 for reconstruction of sector "V", opposite the central building of the stadium. The second renovation was completed in 2009. As of 2009, the stadium has 4,455 plastic seats. Aleksandar Trifonov Alekov ( bg, Александър Трифонов Алеков) (born 25 April 1985) is a Bulgarian public figure, a candidate for European Parliament at the 2014 elections, representing People's Voice. He was nominated second on the electoral list of People's Voice after participating in the first public casting held by a political party in Bulgaria. Alekov is a political scientist, holding degrees from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen and City University London. He specialises in studying manifestations of nationalism and populism in the European Union. Hristo Botev ( bg, Христо Ботев, ), born Hristo Botyov Petkov (Христо Ботьов Петков; – ), was a Bulgarian revolutionary and poet. Botev is considered by Bulgarians to be a symbolic historical figure and national hero.
