Paraxial Approximation
In geometric optics, the paraxial approximation is a small-angle approximation used in Gaussian optics and ray tracing of light through an optical system (such as a lens). A paraxial ray is a ray which makes a small angle (''θ'') to the optical axis of the system, and lies close to the axis throughout the system. Generally, this allows three important approximations (for ''θ'' in radians) for calculation of the ray's path, namely: : \sin \theta \approx \theta,\quad \tan \theta \approx \theta \quad \text\quad\cos \theta \approx 1. The paraxial approximation is used in Gaussian optics and ''first-order'' ray tracing. Ray transfer matrix analysis is one method that uses the approximation. ''Pimp My Ride'' is an American television series produced by MTV and hosted by rapper Xzibit, which ran for six seasons on MTV from 2004 to 2007. In each episode, a car in poor condition is both restored and customized. The work on the show was done by West Coast Customs until season 5 when Galpin Auto Sports took over. Penilaian Menengah Rendah (commonly abbreviated as PMR; Malay for ''Lower Secondary Assessment'') was a Malaysian public examination targeting Malaysian adolescents and young adults between the ages of 13 to 30 years taken by all Form Three high school and college students in both government and private schools throughout the country from independence in 1957 to 2013. It was formerly known as Sijil Rendah Pelajaran (SRP; Malay for ''Lower Certificate of Education''). It was set and examined by the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate (Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia), an agency under the Ministry of Education. This standardised examination was held annually during the first or second week of October. The passing grade depended on the average scores obtained by the candidates who sat for the examination.
