Football Club Sochi (russian: Футбольный клуб Сочи, Futbolny Klub Sochi), is a Russian professional football club based in Sochi. The club is playing its home matches at the 47,000-capacity Fisht Stadium. History FC Sochi was founded on 6 June 2018 after the relocation of FC Dynamo Saint Petersburg to Sochi, thus becoming the only professional football club in the city. On 11 May 2019, the club secured a top-two finish in the 2018–19 Russian National Football League and subsequently promotion to the Russian Premier League for the 2019–20 season for the first time in the club's history. On 20 November 2019, Sochi announced that Aleksandr Tochilin had resigned as manager, with Roman Berezovsky being placed in temporary charge. UEFA Europa Conference League
The UEFA Europa Conference League (abbreviated as UECL) is an annual football club competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. 2021–22 Russian Cup
The 2021–22 Russian Cup was the 29th season of the Russian football knockout tournament since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The competition qualification started on 14 July 2021 and it concluded on 29 May 2022. The winner of the cup would normally win entry into the 2022–23 UEFA Europa League; however, on 28 February 2022, Russian football clubs and national teams were suspended from FIFA & UEFA competitions until further notice, which would prevent any Russian club from participating in the competition unless the suspension was lifted. Christian Fernando Noboa Tello (; born 9 April 1985) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays for Russian Premier League club PFC Sochi and the Ecuador national team as a central midfielder. Club career Emelec Christian started out at Emelec. Rubin Kazan 2007–2012 Christian was transferred in 2007 to FC Rubin Kazan of the Russian Premier League. In 2008, he helped Rubin win its first title of the RPL in history. In 2009, he played in the UEFA Champions League. Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Kokorin ('' né'' Kartashov; russian: Алекса́ндр Алекса́ндрович Коко́рин, ; born 19 March 1991) is a Russian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Cypriot club Aris Limassol on loan from Italian side Fiorentina. The 2019–20 Russian Cup was the 28th season of the Russian football knockout tournament since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The competition started 19 July 2019, but suspended on 17 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia.
