PAF Airpower Centre Of Excellence
The PAF Airpower Centre of Excellence or PAF ACE is an airpower and air warfare research and development facility of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) based at PAF Base Mushaf, Sargodha, Pakistan. Operationally, PAF ACE has the status of a Wing under the PAF's Central Air Command (CAC), with four fighter squadrons of the PAF's Combat Commanders' School (CCS) under its command. PAF ACE is geared primarily towards the planning and development of airpower and air warfare doctrines and strategies and linking airpower research, air combat doctrines and strategies with air combat operations to orchestrate effective military air campaigns. The Central Air Command is one of the five operational commands of the Pakistan Air Force and is based at PAF Base Mushaf in Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. Sargodha ( Punjabi and ur, ) is a city and capital of Sargodha Division, located in Punjab province, Pakistan. It is Pakistan's 12th largest city by population and one of the fastest-growing cities of the country. Sargodha is also known as the ''City of Eagles''. Risalpur (Pashto/ ur, رسالپور) is a city in Nowshera District, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, on the Nowshera-Mardan Road. PAF Air War College Institute is the Pakistan Air Force academic establishment providing training and education primarily to the mid-career officers of PAF as well as to limited number of officers from Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army and officers of various Allied forces. It is located at PAF Base Faisal in the city of Karachi. The college was previously affiliated with University of Karachi but has recently been affiliated with the National Defence University (NDU) along with other staff and war colleges of Pakistan Army and Navy.
