PΑC Omonia 29M ( Greek: ΑΛΣ Ομόνοια 29Μ; Αθλητικό Λαϊκό Σωματείο Ομόνοια 29ης Μαΐου; People's Athletic Club Omonia 29 May), commonly known as PAC Omonia, ALS Omonia or Omonia 29M, is a Cypriot football club based in Nicosia. PAC Omonia 29M was formed on 29 May 2018 by Gate 9, AC Omonia's ultras, due to a disagreement regarding the ownership of the club. They currently play in the Cypriot Second Division. History Separation from AC Omonia Financial difficulties led AC Omonia to change its stance on the ownership of their football department, officially converting from complete fan-ownership to a for-profit ownership under American-Cypriot businessman Stavros Papastavrou, on 29 May 2018. The Cypriot Third Division (Greek: Πρωτάθλημα Γ΄ Κατηγορίας) is the third tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division. The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship. The league is contested by 14 teams and runs from August to May, with the three lowest-placed teams being relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and replaced by the top three teams in that division. Pafos FC ( el, Πάφος FC) is a Cypriot football club based in Paphos. The club was created in 2014, by the merger of the two biggest teams of Paphos, AEP Paphos and AEK Kouklia. They play their home games at the Stelios Kyriakides Stadium, and currently compete in the Cypriot First Division. The 2021–22 Cypriot Cup is the 80th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 23 clubs were accepted to enter the competition. The STOK Elite Division is the fourth tier and the last professional football league competition in Cyprus, run by the STOK Federation of the Cypriot levels.
