Přísaha And Motorists
Přísaha and Motorists () is a Czech electoral alliance founded between Přísaha and Motorists for Themselves, a Prague local party, for the 2024 European Parliament election. History Přísaha and the Motorists started cooperating after the 2022 Czech municipal elections. In that election, Přísaha won 51 local councillors nationwide, below their expectations. In Pohořelice, the hometown of the Přísaha's leader Robert Šlachta, the party won 41.28% of the vote and 9 out of 21 seats. However, every other party in Pohořelice formed a unity coalition against Přísaha. Motorists for Themselves had expressed the intention to become part of the Prague governing coalition, but failed to overcome the 5% electoral threshold and did not gain any seats in the Prague City Council. 2024 Czech Senate Election
Senate elections for one-third of the Senate of the Czech Republic will be held on 20 and 21 September 2024. The first round will be held alongside regional elections, with a potential second round one week later. Background This Senate election is the second and last election to the Senate happening during the term of Petr Fiala's cabinet. The parties in the government coalition and their allies will defend 22 out of 27 seats. Opposition parties hold only two seats that are up for election, while three seats up for election are held by independents. Immediately after the 2018 Senate elections, two of the candidates elected as independents joined senate groups of parliamentary parties. Golden Dawn (Greece)
The Popular Association – Golden Dawn ( el, Λαϊκός Σύνδεσμος – Χρυσή Αυγή, translit=Laïkós Sýndesmos – Chrysí Avgí), usually shortened to Golden Dawn ( el, Χρυσή Αυγή, translit=Chrysí Avgí, ), is a far-right neo-fascist and ultranationalist criminal organization in Greece. Nazi Salute
The Nazi salute, also known as the Hitler salute (german: link=no, Hitlergruß, , Hitler greeting, ; also called by the Nazi Party , 'German greeting', ), or the ''Sieg Heil'' salute, is a gesture that was used as a greeting in Nazi Germany. Filip Turek (born 15 October 1985) is a Czech politician, entrepreneur, influencer and former racing driver. He was elected as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) in the 2024 European parliament election, as the lead candidate for the Přísaha and Motorists alliance. Early life and education Turek was born on born 15 October 1985 in Prague. He studied applied graphics at the Secondary Private Art School of Design. After graduation, he studied commercial and European law and later international and diplomatic studies at the University College Prague. Next Czech Parliamentary Election
The next Czech parliamentary election will be held in or before October 2025. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic will be elected and the leader of the resultant government will become the Prime Minister.
