Péter Kőszeghy
Péter Kőszeghy (born 2 September 1971) is a Hungarian composer and music eductor. Life Kőszeghy was born in 1971 in Balassagyarmat, Hungary. From 1985 to 1989 he attended the Béla-Bartók High School of Music in Miskolc, where he received flute lessons. From 1989 to 1992 he studied flute and music pedagogy at the Pedagogical Faculty of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Győr. He also took private composition lessons with Attila Reményi and Endre Olsvay. From 1992 to 1993 he was a member of the "Group of Young Composers" (Fiatal Zeneszerzők Csoportja (F.Z.CS.)) in Budapest. In 1993 he moved to Germany and studied musical composition with Paul-Heinz Dittrich and electronic music with Andre Bartetzki at the Studio für Elektroakustische Musik (Berlin) (STEAM) of the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" until 1999. Balassagyarmat
Balassagyarmat (Hungarian: ; formerly ''Balassa-Gyarmath''; german: Jahrmarkt; sk, Balážske Ďarmoty or ) is a town in northern Hungary. It was the seat of the Nógrád comitatus. Balassagyarmat is the capital city of Palóc country as the prominent author of Hungarian epic, Kálmán Mikszáth said. Palóc people’s origin is quite mysterious. Their distinctive dialect, culture, folklore, and traditions make them a unique ethnicity. Darmstädter Ferienkurse ("Darmstadt Summer Course") is a regular summer event of contemporary classical music in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany. It was founded in 1946, under the name "Ferienkurse für Internationale Neue Musik Darmstadt" (Vacation Courses of International New Music in Darmstadt), as a gathering with lectures and concerts over several summer weeks. Composers, performers, theorists and philosophers of contemporary music met first annually until 1970, and then biannually. The event was organised by the Kranichsteiner Musikinstitut, which was renamed Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt (IMD). Toy Piano
The toy piano, also known as the ''kinderklavier'' (child's keyboard), is a small piano-like musical instrument. Most modern toy pianos use round metal rods, as opposed to strings in a regular piano, to produce sound. The U.S. Library of Congress recognizes the toy piano as a unique instrument with the subject designation, Toy Piano Scores: M175 T69. The Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber (Carl Maria von Weber College of Music; also/formerly known as Dresden Conservatory or Dresden Royal Conservatory) is a university of music in Dresden, Germany. The Rheinsberg Music Academy (german: Musikakademie Rheinsberg) is an academy for music in Rheinsberg, Brandenburg, Germany. St Peter's Church (Cologne)
St Peter's Church (Sankt Peter) is a Roman Catholic church in Cologne, run by the Jesuits. The painter Rubens was baptised in the church and his ''The Crucifixion of St Peter'' is on display there – it was commissioned in 1638 by the Cologne art collector and businessman Eberhard Jabach. The building also houses the 'Kunst-Station Sankt Peter', a centre for contemporary art, music and literature. Juliane Klein
Juliane Klein (born 3 November 1966) is a German composer and publishing director. Life Born in Berlin, Klein began studying clarinet, piano, musical composition and improvisation at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin as a young student in 1978 and was a lecturer for composition at the same university from 1989 to 1992. Together with Thomas Bruns, she founded the "Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin" in 1987, which she directed until 1991. From 1993 to 1997 she continued her postgraduate studies with Helmut Lachenmann in Stuttgart. In 1999 she founded the music publishing house "Edition Juliane Klein". The Ensemble Aleph is a French musical ensemble composed of performing musicians and composers created in 1983. Ensemble Sortisatio
Ensemble Sortisatio is a quartet (viola, oboe/cor anglais, bassoon and guitar) founded by violist Matthias Sannemüller in 1992 in Leipzig, Germany. Its members are mostly soloists at the MDR Symphony Orchestra. They have specialized in contemporary classical music. Formation The Ensemble Sortisatio was founded in 1992 by Matthias Sannemüller in the city of Leipzig. Sannemüller was a pupil from Dietmar Hallmann and member of the Gruppe Neue Musik Hanns Eisler.
