Péter Jakab
Péter Jakab (born 16 August 1980) is a Hungarian politician and member of the National Assembly. He served as president of the right-wing Jobbik between January 2020 and June 2022. He had been the parliamentary group leader of Jobbik from July 2019 to July 2022. He was the deputy leader of the parliamentary group from February to June in 2019. He was elected Member of Parliament in the 2018 parliamentary election. He was a Member of the House Committee on Legislation from 2018 to 2019 and he was the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Justice in 2019 in the National Assembly. Early life Péter Dénes Jakab was born in Miskolc on 16 August 1980. He has always openly talked about his Jewish origin. His great-grandfather was murdered in Auschwitz. Katalin Csöbör (born 20 January 1965) is a Hungarian politician, member of the National Assembly (MP) for Miskolc (Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Constituency I) since 2010. Fidesz – Hungarian Civic Alliance (; hu, Fidesz – Magyar Polgári Szövetség) is a right-wing populist and national-conservative political party in Hungary, led by Viktor Orbán. It was formed in 1988 under the name of Alliance of Young Democrats () as a centre-left and liberal activist movement that opposed the ruling Marxist–Leninist government. It was registered as a political party in 1990, with Orbán as its leader. It entered the National Assembly following the 1990 parliamentary election, although, it lost two seats after the 1994 election. Following the election, it adopted liberal-conservatism which caused liberal members to leave and to join the Alliance of Free Democrats. 2022 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on 3 April 2022 to elect the National Assembly, coinciding with a referendum. Hungary's incumbent prime minister Viktor Orbán declared victory on Sunday night, with partial results showing his Fidesz party leading the vote by a wide margin. Addressing his supporters after the partial results, Orbán said: "We won a victory so big that you can see it from the moon, and you can certainly see it from Brussels". Opposition leader Péter Márki-Zay admitted defeat shortly after Orbán's speech. ''Reuters'' described it as a "crushing victory".
