Pär Zetterberg
Pär Johan Zetterberg (; born 14 October 1970) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is best remembered for his time with R.S.C. Anderlecht, but also represented Falkenbergs FF, Charleroi, and Olympiacos during a career that spanned between 1986 and 2006. A full international between 1993 and 1999, he won 30 caps for the Sweden national team and scored six goals. He was awarded Guldbollen in 1997 as Sweden's best footballer of the year. Club career Zetterberg started off his footballing career with Falkenbergs FF in 1978, and made his senior debut for the team in Division 3 at the age of 15 in 1986. After having played seven games for Falkenberg, he joined Anderlecht as a youth player later in the same year. Falkenberg
Falkenberg is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Falkenberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 27,813 inhabitants in 2019 (out of a municipal total of about 45,000). It is located at the mouth of river Ätran (river), Ätran. The name consists of the Swedish words for falcon (''falk'') and mountain (''berg''). Falkenberg is a popular tourist destination in the summers, and the main beach of the town is Skrea strand. 1994 FIFA World Cup Qualification (UEFA)
A total of 39 UEFA teams entered qualification for the 1994 FIFA World Cup. However, Liechtenstein withdrew before the draw was made. The CIS, then Russia took the Soviet Union's spot after the Soviet Union dissolved while FIFA suspended Yugoslavia due to United Nations sanctions stemming from the Yugoslav wars. The European zone was allocated 13 from 24 places in the final tournament. Germany, the defending champions, qualified automatically, leaving 12 spots open for competition between 37 teams. The 37 teams were divided into six groups, five of six teams each and one of seven teams (though Group 5 ended up with just five teams following Yugoslavia's suspension). Swedish Football Division 3
Division 3 is the fifth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 144 Swedish football teams. Division 3 had status as the official third level from 1928 to 1986, but was replaced by Division 2 in 1987. It then had status as the official fourth level until 2005, but was replaced once again as Division 1 was recreated in 2006. The competition There are 144 clubs in Division 3, divided in 12 groups of 12 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 22 games. Erik Zetterberg
Erik Pär Zetterberg (born 16 February 1997) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Lunds BK in Ettan Södra. Club career Early career Zetterberg began his career in the youth setup of Belgian side Royal Stade Brainois, the same club where Eden and Thorgan Hazard developed. Falkenbergs FF Zetterberg signed his first professional contract with Allsvenskan side Falkenbergs FF in June 2015 after coming through the club's youth system. On 21 February 2016, he made his senior debut in the Svenska Cupen in a 2–0 win over Tenhults IF. He made his league debut on 30 October 2016 in a 4–1 loss to Helsingborg. UEFA Euro 2000 Qualifying
Qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2000 final tournament, took place throughout 1998 and 1999. Forty-nine teams were divided into nine groups. All teams played against each other, within their groups, on a home-and-away basis. The winner of each group and the best runner-up qualified automatically for the final tournament. The rest of the runners-up played an additional set of playoff matches amongst each other. Belgium and the Netherlands qualified automatically as co-hosts of the event. Tommy Söderberg
Tommy Söderberg (born 19 August 1948) is a Swedish football manager and coach. Career As a manager, he won the Swedish league title with AIK in 1992. Later he went on to coach the Swedish U21 national team, and when Tommy Svensson left his job as national team manager in 1998, the path was open for Söderberg. He took Sweden to the Euro 2000 tournament. The same year Lars Lagerbäck was promoted from assistant coach to joint coach together with Söderberg. Under management of the new coaching duo, Sweden qualified for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2004. The 1996 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 96, was the 10th UEFA European Championship, a quadrennial football tournament contested by European nations and organised by UEFA.
