Pyotr Sobolevsky
Pyotr Stanislavovich Sobolevsky (russian: Пётр Станиславович Соболевский; 22 May 1904 – 26 June 1977) was a Soviet actor. He appeared in more than 50 films between 1926 and 1973. Biography Sobolevsky was born on 22 May 1904 in Tomsk. He studied at the (FEKS) under Grigori Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg. He graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theater in 1932. Pyotr Sobolevsky died on 26 June 1977 in Moscow and was buried at Vvedenskoye Cemetery. Tomsk ( rus, Томск, p=tomsk, sty, Түң-тора) is a city and the administrative center of Tomsk Oblast in Russia, located on the Tom River. Population: Founded in 1604, Tomsk is one of the oldest cities in Siberia. The city is a notable educational and scientific center with six state universities consisting of over 100,000 students, including Tomsk State University, the oldest university in Siberia. History Tomsk originated with a decree by Tsar Boris Godunov in 1604 after , the Tatar duke of , asked for the Tsar's protection against Kirghiz bandits. The Tsar sent 200 Cossacks under the command of and Gavriil Ivanovich Pisemsky to construct a fortress on the bank of the Tom River, overlooking what would become the city of Tomsk. Sniper (1931 Film)
Sniper (russian: Снайпер) is a 1931 Soviet drama film directed and written by Semyon Timoshenko. Plot The film begins during the First World War. A former metallurgist goes to France as part of the Russian Expeditionary Force and there he kills a German sniper. Examining the documents of the sniper, he learns that the dead man also worked at a metallurgical plant, as a result of which he comes to the idea of the need for solidarity between the workers. After the war, returning to his homeland - to Russia, where he is employed by a brigade leader at the depot at the railway border station. Suddenly a group of bandits attacked the station. Defending himself and the station, the protagonist destroys the leader of the gang, who turns out to be his former commander. ''Admiral Nakhimov'' (russian: Адмирал Нахимов) is a 1947 Soviet biopic film directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin, based on the life of Russian Admiral Pavel Nakhimov (1802-1855). In 1946 Pudovkin, Golovnya, Lukovsky, Kryukov, Dikiy, Simonov, and Knyazev received the Stalin Prize. Production The movie had to be remade after the Communist Party of the Soviet Union viewed it as having historical inaccuracies and too many "parties and dancing."
