''Push Comes to Shove'' is the second album by the American hard rock band Jackyl, released in 1994. It peaked at No. 46 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The title track peaked at No. 7 on ''Billboards Album Rock Tracks chart and No. 90 on the UK Singles Chart. The band supported the album by playing Woodstock '94 and touring with ZZ Top and Aerosmith. Mike Fraser was nominated for a Juno Award, in the "Recording Engineer of the Year" category. Production Recorded in Vancouver, the album was produced by Bruce Fairbairn. The band once again used a chainsaw as a musical instrument. Frontman Jesse James Dupree made an attempt to modify the screechiness of his vocals. Photos of Dupree's handlebar mustache were initially altered by the record company. "Secret of the Bottle" is the band's version of a country ballad. "Rock-A-Ho" employs Native American stereotypes and clichés in its lyrics. Bill Plympton
Bill Plympton (born April 30, 1946) is an American animator, graphic designer, cartoonist, and filmmaker best known for his 1987 Academy Awards-nominated animated short '' Your Face'' and his series of shorts featuring a dog character starting with 2004's ''Guard Dog''. Early life Plympton was born in Portland, Oregon, the son of Wilda Jean (Jerman) and Donald F. Plympton, and was raised on a farm in nearby Oregon City with five siblings: Sally, Tia, Peggy, David and Peter. From 1964 to 1968, he studied Graphic Design at Portland State University, where he was a member of the film society and worked on the yearbook. In 1968, he transferred to the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he majored in cartooning. He graduated from SVA in 1969. Twyla Tharp
Twyla Tharp (; born July 1, 1941) is an American dancer, choreographer, and author who lives and works in New York City. In 1966 she formed the company Twyla Tharp Dance. Her work often uses classical music, jazz, and contemporary pop music. From 1971 to 1988, Twyla Tharp Dance toured extensively around the world, performing original works. In 1973 Tharp choreographed ''Deuce Coupe'' to the music of The Beach Boys for the Joffrey Ballet. ''Deuce Coupe'' is considered the first "crossover ballet", a mix of ballet and modern dance. Later she choreographed ''Push Comes to Shove'' (1976), which featured Mikhail Baryshnikov and is now thought to be the best example of crossover ballet. In 1988, Twyla Tharp Dance merged with American Ballet Theatre, since which time ABT has premiered 16 of Tharp's works.
