Pusegaon is a town in the Satara district of the state of Maharashtra in India. It is situated on the National Highway 548C (India), NH-548C Satara-Baitul National Highway. Pusegaon is known for the Shree Sevagiri Maharaj Temple & its annual Rathotsava fair. Geography Pusegaon is situated in the valley of Western Ghats, Sahyadri mountain range and on the bank of Yerla River, a tributary of Krishna River. It is located 35km from its district headquarters Satara (city), Satara. Culture * Pusegaon is famous for the Shree Sevagiri Maharaj temple located on the bank of the Yerla river. Shree Sevagiri Maharaj appeared in Pusegaon in 1905 and took Sanjivan Samadhi on 10 January 1948. Vaduj
Vaduj is a major town in Satara district of Maharashtra, India. It is the headquarters of Khatav Taluka. It is located on the banks of the Yerala River, and is around away from the district capital Satara, and away from Pune. It is the biggest town in Khatav Taluka, with a population of around 32,636 (registered ) people. According to the 2011 population census, it has a literacy rate of 86%, which is above the national average. Recently, its status was changed to Nagar Panchayat .
