Purple Ribbon Records is a record label owned by Outkast and distributed through Virgin Records. It was formed in as Aquemini Records, named after OutKast's 1998 album of the same name. It is run solely by Big Boi. It is credited with launching the career of Janelle Monáe. A record label, or record company, is a brand or trademark of music recordings and music videos, or the company that owns it. Bad Boy Records (or Bad Boy Entertainment) is an American record label founded in 1993 by rapper Sean "Puffy" Combs. It operates as an imprint of Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. Patrick Leroy "Sleepy" Brown (born January 24, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Savannah, Georgia.
