Pup Rock () is a rock about in diameter, between Refuge Islands and Tiber Rocks in Rymill Bay, off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. It was discovered by geologist Robert L. Refuge Islands
Refuge Islands () is a small group of islands lying 1 nautical mile (1.9 km) from the ice cliffs at the southwest side of Red Rock Ridge, off the west coast of Graham Land. Discovered and named by the British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE) under Rymill, 1934–37, who used these islands as a depot for sledge journeys south from the southern base in the Debenham Islands. El Plumerillo Refuge Refuge El Plumerillo () is an Antarctic refuge located on one islet of the Refuge Islands in the Rymill Bay on the Fallières Coast. The refuge is operated by the Argentine Army and was inaugurated on April 28, 1953. It depends on the San Martín Base located north of the refuge. Tiber Rocks
The Tiber Rocks are a group of rocks lying near the head of Rymill Bay, close west of the mouth of Romulus Glacier and northwest of the highest summit of Black Thumb, off the west coast of Graham Land. Rymill Bay
Rymill Bay () is a bay in Antarctica. It is wide at its mouth and indents between Red Rock Ridge and Bertrand Ice Piedmont along the west coast of Graham Land. Rymill Bay was probably first seen from a distance by the French Antarctic Expedition under Jean-Baptiste Charcot in 1909. The bay was first surveyed in 1936 by the British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE) and was resurveyed in 1948 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS). The Antarctic Peninsula, known as O'Higgins Land in Chile and Tierra de San Martín in Argentina, and originally as Graham Land in the United Kingdom and the Palmer Peninsula in the United States, is the northernmost part of mainland Antarctica. Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition
The Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE) was an expedition from 1947–1948 which researched the area surrounding the head of the Weddell Sea in Antarctica. Background Finn Ronne led the RARE which was the final privately sponsored expedition from the United States and explored and mapped the last unknown coastline on earth and determined that the Weddell Sea and the Ross Sea were not connected. The expedition included Isaac Schlossbach, as second in command, who was to have Cape Schlossbach named after him. The expedition, based out of Stonington Island was the first to take women to over-winter. Ronne's wife, Edith Ronne was correspondent for the North American Newspaper Alliance for expedition and the chief pilot Darlington took his wife.
