Punk Goes 90s Vol. 2
''Punk Goes 90s Vol. 2'' is the fifteenth compilation album in the '' Punk Goes...'' series and the second installment in the ''Punk Goes '90s'' series, the first being released in 2006. Each artist that appeared on the album was approached by Fearless Records to cover a song from the 1990s. Background and release The album was announced by Fearless Records through a video teaser, posted on January 1, 2014, which also revealed that the first single from the album, to be released on January 7, would be Get Scared's cover of " My Own Worst Enemy" by Lit. It was announced on February 6 that the album would be released on April 1 the same year; the album's full track listing and artwork were released on the same day. The next song released from the album was Asking Alexandria's cover of Nine Inch Nails' song " Closer", released on February 25. Punk Goes
''Punk Goes...'' is a series of pop albums released by Fearless Records in which punk rock bands perform covers of songs from other genres. As of 2019, the series consists of nineteen compilation albums. Though predominantly a series of cover albums, ''Punk Goes Acoustic'', ''Punk Goes Acoustic 2'', and '' Punk Goes Acoustic Vol. 3'' deviate from this theme, featuring acoustic versions of original songs by the featured bands. 2013's ''Punk Goes Christmas'' and 2015 rerelease of ''Punk Goes Christmas'' titled '' Punk Goes Christmas: Deluxe Edition'' features a mix of both Christmas-themed original songs and covers. Mayday Parade is an American Rock music, rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. Their debut EP ''Tales Told by Dead Friends'' was released in 2006, and sold over 50,000 copies without any label support. Ronnie Radke
Ronald Joseph Radke (; born December 15, 1983) is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, musician, and record producer best known for being the current lead singer of Falling in Reverse and the former lead singer of Escape the Fate. Radke rose to popularity as the lead singer for post-hardcore band Escape the Fate, but was kicked out in 2008 after being sentenced to prison for violating probation to owning brass knuckles in the state of Nevada in 2006. While in prison, Radke started a new band, Falling in Reverse, that didn't make a formal announcement until his release in December 2010. Radke spent much of his time writing for his new band. Artis Leon Ivey Jr. (August 1, 1963 – September 28, 2022), known professionally as Coolio, was an American rapper. Falling in Reverse is an American Rock music, rock band based in Las Vegas, Nevada, that formed in 2008 by lead vocalist Ronnie Radke while he was incarcerated. Over a span of five years, the band released four major label records on East West, Elektra Records and Island Records.
