Punjab Sports University
Punjab Sports University, officially Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University (MBSPSU), is a residential and affiliating sports state university in Patiala, Punjab, India. History A sports university in Punjab was announced by the Government of Punjab in June 2017. In July 2019 it was decided to name it after Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. It was established in August 2019 thorough ''The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University Act, 2019'' and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in September of that year. State University (India)
In India, state universities are run and funded by the state government of each of the states of India. Following the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1950, education became a state responsibility. The Pioneer (India)
''The Pioneer'' is an English-language daily newspaper in India. It is published from multiple locations in India, including Delhi. It is the second oldest English-language newspaper in India still in circulation after ''The Times of India''. In 2010, The Pioneer launched its Hindi version in Lucknow. Author Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936), in his early 20s, worked at the newspaper office in Allahabad as an assistant editor from November 1887 to March 1889. In July 1933, ''The Pioneer'' was sold to a syndicate and moved from Allahabad to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, at which time the ''Pioneer Mail and India Weekly News'' ceased publication. The newspaper remained a primarily Lucknow-based paper until 1990, when it was purchased by the Thapar Group, under L. M. Rajiv Gandhi National University Of Law
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), is a public law school and a National Law University located in Patiala, Punjab, India. It was established in 2006 by the Punjab Government (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006) as a university dedicated to the field of Legal Education. Patiala District
Patiala district is one of the twenty three districts in the state of Punjab in north-west India. Patiala district lies between 38 47’ and 39 41’ north latitude, 115 58’ and 116 54' east longitude, in the southeast part of the state. Maharaja Bhupinder Singh
Maharaja Sir Bhupinder Singh, (12 October 1891 – 23 March 1938) was an Indian royal and cricket player. He was the ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Patiala in British India from 1900 to 1938. Biography Bhupinder Singh was born at the Moti Bagh Palace, Patiala and educated at Aitchison College. At age 9, he succeeded as Maharaja of Patiala state upon death of his father, Maharaja Rajinder Singh, on 9 November 1900. A Council of Regency ruled in his name until he took partial powers shortly before his 18th birthday on 1 October 1909 and was invested with full powers by the Viceroy of India, the 4th Earl of Minto, on 3 November 1910.
