Pulinthitta
{{Use Indian English, date=January 2020 Pulinthitta (''പുളിന്തിട്ട'') is one of the ancient families in Elanthoor in Pathanamthitta District of the Indian state of Kerala. Their ancestors migrated from Kuravilangad in the 17th century. A historical record shows that people moved from Kuravilangad to Elanthoor. The Pulinthitta family lived in the western part of Elanthoor village. The original Pulinthitta house existed until recently as a symbol of the family's heritage. Initially Elanthoor was under the domination of Omalloor landlords. These landlords and their ladies used to visit Aranmula Temple, traveling through Elanthoor. Some villagers assaulted the royal women. The eldest ancestor of Pulinthitta family assisted the victims. Elavumthitta
Elavumthitta (also ''Elavinthitta, Elavanthitta'') is a town (located near to the border of Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta district) in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India. The majority of its inhabitants are from Hindu and Christian backgrounds. The primary crops are rubber, coconut, black pepper and plantain. The terrain is hilly with plenty of paddy fields in between. It is the commercial centre of Mezhuveli and Chenneerkara panchayaths. Elanthoor
Elanthoor is a village in Pathanamthitta district of the Southern State of Kerala, India. Situated halfway between Kozhencherry and Pathnamthitta, the area was part of the Kingdom of Travancore presumably since 1820. This peaceful rural belt has a significant place in the history of the freedom movement of the country and has made notable contributions to the film industry. It has been argued that the expression "Ellangalude Oor" shortened by over has become "Elanthoor". "Ellangalude Oor" would mean "aggravation of settlements" or a region of concentration of houses. Pathanamthitta (), is a municipality situated in the Central Travancore region in the state of Kerala, India, spread over an area of 23.50 km2. It is the administrative capital of Pathanamthitta district. The town has a population of 37,538. Kuravilangad is an Indian town located in the northern part of the Kottayam district in Kerala. It is situated in the Meenachil taluk, about 22 km north of the district capital Kottayam and 17 km west of the municipal town Pala. Omallur
Omalloor is a small town, about 3.5 km south of Pathanamthitta District headquarters, in Kerala. Omalloor is famous for '' Vayal Vanibham'' which is an annual farming fair held in the month of Meenam (October). People from both within and outside the town participate in the fair. Aranmula
Aranmula is a temple town in the state of Kerala, India. It is known as the cultural capital of Pathanamthitta district, located at a distance of around 116 km from Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, it is situated on the banks of the river Pampa.
