Pulheimer SC is a German sports club from Pulheim. It has sections for association football, handball, baseball ( Pulheim Gophers), hockey, inline hockey, volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis, budo, fencing, track and field, cycling, swimming, dancing, and chess. In June 1924, ''SC Sparta Pulheim'' was founded as a football club. Numerous other sports were added over the years. On 9 September 1966 it merged with ''VfL Pulheim'' (founded 1957), creating the modern club. Helga Arendt
Helga Arendt (24 April 1964 – 11 March 2013) was a West German sprinter who competed mainly in the 400 metres. Biography Arendt was born in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. In 1987 she finished fourth at the 1987 European Indoor Championships, only 0.01 second behind bronze medalist Cristina Pérez. Later that year she competed at the 1987 World Championships. In the 4 x 400 metres relay she finished fifth with teammates Ute Thimm, Gudrun Abt and Gisela Kinzel. She also competed in the individual 400 metres distance, but did not reach the final round of competition. On 20 February the next year Arendt helped set a world indoor record of 1:32.55 minutes in the 4 x 200 metres relay, with Silke Knoll, Mechthild Kluth and Gisela Kinzel of the sports club SC Eintracht Hamm. Gerald Michael Ciolek (born 19 September 1986) is a German former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2005 and 2016. He currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Career Ciolek started racing at senior events in May 2005, with , where he had a very successful season. He won the German National Road Race Championships aged 18, the youngest ever rider to do so.
