Lino Capolicchio
Lino Capolicchio (21 August 1943 – 3 May 2022) was an Italian actor, screenwriter, and director. He won a special David di Donatello acting award for his role in Vittorio de Sica's 1970 film, '' The Garden of the Finzi-Contini''. Capolicchio was a well-known television actor before breaking into film with an uncredited role in Franco Zeffirelli's ''The Taming of the Shrew'' in 1967. He appeared in over seventy films and television dramas. In 1995 he wrote and directed '' Pugili'', an award-winning film about the world of boxing. For three seasons, Capolicchio provided the voice for Bo Duke in the Italian broadcasts of ''The Dukes of Hazzard''. Tiberio Mitri
Tiberio Mitri (12 July 1926 in Trieste – 12 February 2001 in Rome) was an Italian boxer who fought from 1946 to 1957. During his career, Mitri was the Italian and European middleweight champion. Mitri's professional debut, was 1 August 1946, and over the span of his first four years of fighting, racked up an undefeated record of 50–0. During this period, he won the Italian middleweight crown by defeating Giovanni Manca (1948), then added the European title with a points win over Cyrille Dellannoit of Belgium. He first defended the European honors, by decisioning Jean Stock of France. It was on the strength of this resume, Mitri won the right to challenge for the world middleweight championship...though, perversely, he landed the opportunity, as a substitute for Rocky Graziano. Duilio Loi
Duilio Loi (19 April 1929 – 20 January 2008) was an Italian Boxing, boxer who held the Italian and European lightweight and welterweight titles, as well as the World Junior Welterweight Championship. Loi fought from 1948 to 1962, and retired with a record of 115 wins (26 KOs), 3 losses and 8 draws. Loi is considered one of the greatest fighters of all time at his weight and one of the best fighters to come out of Italy. Biography Loi was born in Trieste in 1929, to a father from Sardinia and mother from Friuli Venezia Giulia. Loi fought many outstanding fighters in his career, including three bouts with lightweight great Carlos Ortiz (boxer), Carlos Ortiz. Although all their fights were close, Loi won two out of three bouts, which were all for the world light welterweight title.
