Pufnstuf (film)
''Pufnstuf'' (also known as ''Pufnstuf Zaps the World'') is a 1970 American comedy fantasy musical film produced by Sid and Marty Krofft Enterprises and released by Universal Pictures. It is based on the children's television series ''H.R. Pufnstuf,'' a show that features a cast of puppets on a "living island." Plot After Jimmy is wrongfully ejected from the school band for tripping, he ventures on a journey with his newly magical talking flute Freddy. Orchestrated by Witchiepoo, Jimmy takes an evil boat to Living Island, an island where everything is alive. He befriends the island's inhabitants, who are led by Mayor H.R. Pufnstuf, but the evil Witchiepoo is determined to steal Freddy the Flute from him in order to impress the visiting Witches' Council and the Boss Witch so that she may win the Witch of the Year Award. Hollingsworth Morse
John Hollingsworth Morse (December 16, 1910 – January 23, 1988) was an American film and television director. He directed episodes of a wide variety of U.S. television series from the 1950s through the 1980s under the names Hollingsworth Morse and John H. Jane Dulo
Jane Dulo (October 13, 1917 – May 22, 1994) was an American actress and comedian. Dulo was born Berniece Dewlow, the elder daughter of Lawrence and Nettie Dewlow, she began her career at the age of ten performing in vaudeville. Her father was a Latvian Jew and her mother was of Lithuanian Jewish descent. When she was a child actress, she used Dulo as a stage name. When she was older, an agent in New York had her change her name to Jane Dillon, which she used in night clubs in Baltimore and New York. However, when she appeared in Philadelphia in the musical ''Are You With It?'' a radio commentator named Jane Dillon in Bridgeport, Connecticut, threatened to sue her. Then she resumed using Dulo. The 8-track tape (formally Stereo 8; commonly called eight-track cartridge, eight-track tape, and eight-track) is a magnetic tape sound recording technology that was popular from the mid-1960s to the early 1980s, when the compact cassette, which pre-dated the 8-track system, surpassed it in popularity for pre-recorded music. The format was most popular in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Japan. One advantage of the 8-track tape cartridge was that it could play continuously, and did not have to be "flipped over" to play the entire tape. Johnny Silver (born John Silverman; April 16, 1918 – February 1, 2003) was an American actor and singer, best known for playing Benny Southstreet in ''Guys and Dolls''.
