Puerto Rico Ports Authority
The Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) ( es, Autoridad de los Puertos; AP) is a government-owned corporation of Puerto Rico charged with developing, operating, and overseeing all seaports and airports in Puerto Rico. The Authority is ascribed to the Department of Transportation and Public Works and is governed by a Board of Directors whose members are appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. Its day-to-day operations are under the charge of an executive director, currently Omar Marrero Díaz. Executive Branch Of The Government Of Puerto Rico
The executive branch of the government of Puerto Rico is responsible for executing the laws of Puerto Rico, as well as causing them to be executed. Article IV of the Constitution of Puerto Rico vests the executive power on the Governor—whom by its nature forms the executive branch. The Constitution also establishes that the Secretary of State should serve as acting governor when the Governor is unable to perform his duties. The Secretary of State, therefore, performs an equivalent role to that of a Lieutenant Governor in United States politics. Yabucoa () is a town and municipality in Puerto Rico located in the eastern region, north of Maunabo; south of San Lorenzo, Las Piedras and Humacao; and east of Patillas. Humacao () is a city and municipality in Puerto Rico located in the eastern coast of the island, north of Yabucoa; south of Naguabo; east of Las Piedras; and west of Vieques Passage. Humacao is spread over 12 barrios and Humacao Pueblo (the downtown area and the administrative center of the city). It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area. Humacao Airport is a public use airport owned by the Puerto Rico Ports Authority and located southeast of Humacao, a city in Puerto Rico. Benjamín Rivera Noriega Airport is a public use airport on the island of Culebra in Puerto Rico. The airport is owned by the Puerto Rico Ports Authority.
