Puella Magi Madoka Magica (film Trilogy)
is a series of Japanese anime films produced by Aniplex and Shaft based on the 2011 anime television series of the same name. The first two films, ''Beginnings'' and ''Eternal'', were released in October 2012 and serve as a recap of the television series with redone voice acting and newly animated footage. The third film, ''Rebellion'', is an all-new original work, and was released by Warner Bros. Pictures in October 2013. A manga adaptation illustrated by Hanokage was released by Houbunsha between November 2013 and January 2014. The films are distributed in North America by Aniplex of America. The third film, ''Rebellion'', was nominated for the Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year and won the Best Theatrical Film Award at the 19th Animation Kobe Awards. Homura Akemi
is a fictional character and one of two main protagonists from the 2011 anime series '' Puella Magi Madoka Magica''. A mysterious magical girl who first appears as a vision in one of Madoka Kaname's nightmares, Homura tries her best to prevent Madoka from making a contract with the messenger of magic, Kyubey. As the story progresses, it is revealed that Homura is a time traveler and has seen Madoka die countless times whenever she makes a contract with Kyubey. Yen Press, LLC is an American manga and graphic novel publisher co-owned by Kadokawa Corporation and Hachette Book Group. It published ''Yen Plus'', a monthly comic anthology, between 2008 and 2013. Mami Tomoe
is a fictional character from the 2011 anime series '' Puella Magi Madoka Magica''. Mami is a veteran magical girl and a third-year student at Mitakihara middle school. She acts as a mentor to Madoka Kaname and Sayaka Miki should they choose to become magical girls by making contract with Kyubey. Mami plays a pivotal role in the first arc of ''Magia Record'', appearing as one of the primary antagonists. Kyubey
is the main antagonist of the 2011 anime series '' Puella Magi Madoka Magica'' and its 2013 sequel '' The Rebellion Story''. They are a "messenger of magic" that can grant any wish to a certain girl, on the condition that she become a magical girl and fight against witches. It is later revealed that their true identity is ''Incubator''. Kyubey is considered the main villain of the ''Puella Magi Madoka Magica'' series, as they tricked Madoka Kaname and the other protagonists in order to turn them into magical girls and, later on, into witches. Sayaka Miki
is a fictional character from the 2011 anime series '' Puella Magi Madoka Magica''. A girl with a strong sense of justice and a classical music fan, Sayaka is the childhood and best friend of one of the series' protagonists, Madoka Kaname.
