Pudding Pop
Pudding Pops were frosty ice pop treats which were originally made and marketed by Jell-O. They were launched with a marketing campaign fronted by actor and comedian Bill Cosby. Pudding Pops first originated in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the 1970s in the United States, and became more popular in the 1980s. In their first year, they earned $100,000,000 and after five years were earning $300,000,000 annually. Despite strong sales into the 1990s, Pudding Pops were eventually discontinued due to no longer being profitable. They were reintroduced to grocery stores in 2004 under the brand name ''Popsicle (brand), Popsicle''. Ice Pop
An ice pop is a liquid-based frozen snack on a stick. Unlike ice cream or sorbet, which are whipped while freezing to prevent ice crystal formation, an ice pop is "quiescently" frozen—frozen while at rest—and becomes a solid block of ice. Jell-O is an American brand offering a variety of powdered gelatin dessert (fruit-flavored gels/jellies), pudding, and no-bake cream pie mixes. The original gelatin dessert (genericized as jello) is the signature of the brand. "Jell-O" is a registered trademark of Kraft Heinz, and is based in Chicago, Illinois. Popsicle (brand)
Popsicle is a Good Humor-Breyers brand of ice pop consisting of flavored, colored ice on a stick. History In 1905 in Oakland, California, 11-year-old Francis William "Frank" Epperson was mixing a powdered flavoring for soft drinks with water. He accidentally left it on the back porch overnight, with a stirring stick still in it. That night, the temperature dropped below freezing, and the next morning, Epperson discovered the drink had frozen to the stick, inspiring the idea of a fruit-flavored "Popsicle". In 1922, he introduced the creation at a fireman's ball, where according to reports it was "a sensation". In 1923, Epperson began selling the frozen pops to the public at Neptune Beach, an amusement park in Alameda, California.
