''Psycho Savant'' is the third and final studio album by the metal band Intruder. It was released in June, 1991, on Metal Blade and Warner Bros. Records Warner Records Inc. (formerly Warner Bros. Records Inc.) is an American record label. A subsidiary of the Warner Music Group, it is headquartered in Los Angeles, California. It was founded on March 19, 1958, as the recorded music division of the .... The album moved toward slower tempos and longer songs (all but one of the songs are over 6 minutes in length). It was also their only album Tom Harding did not produce. "N.G.R.I." stands for "Not Guilty for Reason of Insanity." In the song "Geri's Lament (When)", the word 'Geri's' is short for 'geriatrics'. The song deals with the abuse of the elderly at senior care living facilities. The song was lauded for spreading awareness on a then relatively unknown problem. Intruder (American Band)
Intruder is an American thrash metal band from Nashville, Tennessee. Formerly known as "Transgresser", the group began as a four-piece cover band. They saw the addition of rhythm guitarist Greg Messick after signing with Metal Blade Records. Intruder released three full-length albums and one EP from 1987 to 1991 before splitting up in 1992. Since then, the band has reunited several times to play live shows. History The band was originally formed in 1984 under the name "Transgresser". They released demos in 1984 and 1986 (which would later appear on a re-release of their debut album). After going through several name changes they became known as "Intruder". Bill Metoyer
Bill Metoyer is an American record producer who has recorded with Slayer, Deliverance, Hirax, Morbid Angel, Trouble and Tourniquet. He has worked at Metal Blade Records for several years as house producer and currently works as A&R. He also works with Alpha Omega Management as A&R as well. Metoyer formed Skull Seven Productions. Background Metoyer attended the University of Sound Arts in 1978 and then became the chief engineer at Track Record in 1979. Metoyer started his production career in 1983, recording bands like Slayer, Flotsam and Jetsam, Sacred Reich, D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, and Armored Saint. ''A Higher Form of Killing'' is the second studio album by the metal band, Intruder. It marks their departure from the speed metal sound displayed on their previous album in favor of a thrash metal sound. Unlike their previous album which was recorded as a four-piece band, this album was recorded as a quintet with the addition of Greg Messick on rhythm guitar. It was originally released in 1989 by Metal Blade and Roadrunner Records, but was reissued on Lost and Found Records in 2005, limited to 1,000 copies. Its title is taken from a quotation from Fritz Haber about the use of poison gas in warfare.
