Marie Davidson
Marie Davidson (born 1987) is a French-Canadian electronic musician and producer from Montreal. Career Davidson was part of the duo Les Momies de Palerme, along with Xarah Dion. Their album, ''Brûlez ce coeur'', was released on Constellation Records in 2010. She has collaborated with various other musicians including Matana Roberts (on her project '' Coin Coin Chapter One: Gens de couleur libres'') and David Kristian, and she was part of the orchestral project Land of Kush. She is also one half of the minimal wave duo Essaie pas, a duo she formed with her partner, Pierre Guerineau. The duo were longlisted for the 2016 Polaris Music Prize for their album ''Demain est une autre nuit''. Radio Radio is a Canadian electro hip-hop band formed in 2007 from Clare, Nova Scotia, and Moncton, New Brunswick Canada. The duo rap in Chiac, an Acadian French dialect. History The hip-hop/rap group Jacobus et Maleco, from Clare in St. Mary's Bay, Nova Scotia, was formed in 2001 by Jacques Alphonse Doucet alias Jacobus, Marc Comeau alias Maleco, and Alexandre Bilodeau alias DJ Alexandre. After the departure of Maleco, the decision was made to change the name of the group to Radio Radio. Radio Radio released their first EP entitled ''Télé-Télé'' in 2007. Philippe B is a francophone singer-songwriter based in Montreal. Biography Born Philippe Bergeron in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada, Philippe B is the former lead vocalist for Gwenwed. He was also a session guitarist for Pierre Lapointe on his eponymous album. He released his first self-titled solo album in 2005 on label Proxenett Records. That same year he played at the ''Festival de musique emergente'' in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, where he also played the song ''Philadelphia'' for television show ''Mange ta ville''.
