Province Of Teruel
Teruel (Catalan: ''Terol'' ) is a province of Aragon, in the northeast of Spain. The capital is Teruel. It is bordered by the provinces of Tarragona, Castellón, Valencia (including its exclave Rincón de Ademuz), Cuenca, Guadalajara, and Zaragoza. The area of the province is 14,809 km². Its population is 134,572 (2018), of whom about a quarter live in the capital, and its population density is 9.36/km². It contains 236 municipalities, of which more than half are villages of under 200 people. Teruel is the second-least populated province of Spain, also the second smallest in population density after Soria. The main language throughout the province is Spanish (with official status), although Catalan is spoken in a northeastern area bordering Catalonia. Sierra De Gúdar
Sierra de Gúdar is a mountain range in the Gúdar-Javalambre and Maestrazgo comarcas of Aragon and the Alto Mijares comarca of the Valencian Community, Spain. The highest point in the range is Peñarroya (2,019 m). Geography This mountain range is located at the eastern end of the Iberian System and the Sierra de Nogueruelas is its easternmost prolongation. The Sierra Mayabona is another subrange of the Sierra de Gúdar. Its summits are usually covered in snow in the winter and the 1710 m high Cabezo de las Cruces is one of the highest peaks of the Land of Valencia. Mora de Rubielos is the most important town in this mountainous zone. The range is named after the town of Gúdar. Sierra De Javalambre
Sierra de Javalambre ( an, Sierra de Chabalambre) is a long mountain range in the Gúdar-Javalambre comarca of Aragon and the Rincón de Ademuz and Serrans comarcas of the Valencian Community, Spain. Highway N-234 winds its way between Sierra de Javalambre and Serra d'Espadà reaching the coast at Sagunto and the Autopista AP-7. Location This mountain range is located at the eastern end of the Iberian System and the Sierra del Toro its ESE prolongation. Its highest point is Javalambre (2,020 m). Its summits are usually covered in snow in the winter and the 1,839 m high Cerro Calderón or Alto de las Barracas is the highest peak of the Land of Valencia. Aramón Javalambre is a small ski resort in the range with 12.2 km of ski trails. Sierra Menera
Sierra Menera is a long mountain range in the southwestern end of the Iberian System. Administratively the Sierra Menera belongs to the Sierra de Albarracín, Jiloca and Comunidad de Teruel, comarcas of Aragon, as well as to the Province of Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha in its western side. The Castle of Peracense rises atop an escarpment in the southern part of the range. The place known as ''Mirador de la Marajosa'' offers ample views of the surrounding landscape. There are aerogenerators on some of the Sierra Menera's ridges. Geography The main range is aligned in a NNW - SSE direction. It is not as high or conspicuous as other mountain ranges of the Iberian System. From the hydrographic point of view the Sierra Menera divides the Atlantic from the Mediterranean watershed. Sierra De San Just
Sierra de San Just ( an, Sierra de Sant Chust) is a mountain range in the Cuencas Mineras comarca of Aragon, Teruel Province, Spain. The highest point in the range is San Just (1,522 m). This range is located in one of the coldest and most rugged regions of Aragon. Geography Landslides are relatively frequent in the San Just mountains. Besides the mountain ranges, the Plains of Visiedo ( es, Llanos de Visiedo) near Visiedo, the Altos del Zancado, and the area surrounding Ejulve, are all part of the Sierra de San Just geographic zone. Road N-211 crosses the range at Gargallo and skirts the mountainsides of the chain. Mining There are lignite deposits in the Sierra de San Just range. Sierra de Cucalón is a long system of mountain ranges in Aragon, Spain, located between the comarcas of Jiloca and Cuencas Mineras. Geography These mountains are part of the Iberian System and are often covered with snow in the winter. Rivers Huerva and Martín have their source in these ranges. The Ermita de la Virgen de Pelarda is located in the Pelarda range, close to Olalla. Subranges Two main ranges run parallel to each other, the northern one is Sierra de Oriche, also known as "Las Rochas", and the southern one, smoother and covered with forest, as Sierra de Pelarda or Sierra de la Pelarda (also known as "Sierra de Fonfría" after the town of Fonfría in its central section) extending eastwards as Sierra Pedregosa. Sierra De La Virgen
Sierra de la Virgen is a mountain range in the Aranda and Comunidad de Calatayud comarcas, Aragon, Spain. It is located south of the Moncayo Massif between the valleys of the Jalón and the Aranda rivers, rising north of the N-234 road, roughly between Calatayud and Torrelapaja. Geography The ridge is aligned in a NW-SE direction. Its highest point is Cabrera (1,433 m); other important summits are Virgen de la Sierra (1,413 m), Cucuta (1,300 m), San Cristóbal (1,264 m), Pico de Morés (1,186 m) and Monte de la Lezna (1,173 m). The adjacent Sierra de Vicort stretches east of Sierra de la Virgen in the same direction. Sistema Ibérico
The Iberian System ( es, Sistema Ibérico, ) is one of the major systems of mountain ranges in Spain. It consists of a vast and complex area of mostly relatively high and rugged mountain chains and massifs located in the central region of the Iberian Peninsula, but reaching almost the Mediterranean coast in the Valencian Community in the east. The system is hydrographically important, as it separates the watersheds of most of the major rivers in Spain and Portugal, including the Ebro basin from the basins of the Douro, Tagus, Guadiana (Záncara- Gigüela), Júcar and Turia. There are important mining areas in some of the ranges such as Sierra Menera, Sierra de Arcos and Sierra de San Just, making the system one of the chief mining regions in Spain since ancient times.
