Albert Proud
Albert Proud (born 6 September 1988) is a former Australian rules football player who played for Mt Gravatt Vultures in NEAFL. Originally from Braybrook in Melbourne's Western suburbs he previously played for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Proud is an Indigenous Australian and made a name for himself at the Lions through his fierce attack on the ball, and hard work when not in possession. In 2016 Proud pleaded guilty to charges of assaulting his girlfriend and was sentenced to five and a half years in prison. Early life Proud has heritage that traces back to the Torres Strait Islands, but grew up in Melbourne, Victoria. He moved to Brisbane when he was fifteen years old, and later joined the Mount Gravatt Football Club in the QAFL. Andrew Proud
Andrew John Proud (born 27 March 1954) is a retired British Anglican bishop. He was area Bishop of Reading in the Church of England (Diocese of Oxford) and previously the area bishop for the Horn of Africa in the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East (Diocese of Egypt). Early life and education Proud was born on 27 March 1954. He graduated from King's College London's Theological Department in 1979 with a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) degree and an Associateship of King's College (AKC), then trained for ministry at Lincoln Theological College for a year. Proud undertook a Master of Arts (MA) degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London, from 2001 to 2002. Roland Barton "Bill" Proud (29 September 1919 – 27 October 1961) was an English first-class cricketer. Proud was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. Proud was educated at Winchester College, where he represented the college cricket team. Later, Proud was educated at Oxford University. Proud made his first-class debut for Hampshire against Derbyshire in the 1938 County Championship, playing three first-class matches for the county during the season. In 1939, he made his debut for Oxford University against Yorkshire. Proud represented the university in ten first-class matches in 1939, with his final first-class match for the university coming against Cambridge University. Geoffrey Proud
Geoffrey Robert Proud, although having had no formal training, held his first solo exhibition at the age of sixteen, and has had his work exhibited in all states with over 80 solo exhibitions and in excess of 100 group exhibitions to his credit. Though he is best known for his painting, he also gained significant attention for etchings, lithographs and sculptural work. Proud was awarded many prestigious prizes throughout his career, including the Sulman Prize in 1975, and Australia's most prestigious prize for portraiture the Archibald Prize in 1990 for his portrait of writer Dorothy Hewett. George Proud
George Albert Proud (9 April 1939 – 23 October 2019) was a member of the House of Commons of Canada from 1988 to 2000. Proud was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. From 1974 to 1979, he was a provincial politician in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island as a Councillor for the 5th Queens provincial electoral district. Proud moved to federal politics in 1988 general election when he was elected in the Hillsborough electoral district for the Liberal party. He was re-elected in the 1993 and 1997 federal elections. Peter Proud
Peter Proud (born Ralph Priestman Proud, 6 May 1913, Glasgow – 1989, London) was a British film art director. He made a major contribution to wartime camouflage and deception operations in the Western Desert, especially in the siege of Tobruk. Early career In 1928, Proud left school at age 15 and started work at the Elstree film studios on Alfred Hitchcock films including ''Murder!'' (1930) and ''Rich and Strange''. In 1932 he joined Gaumont British as assistant designer to Alfred Junge. The British Film Institute's Raymond Durgnat described him as an "ace production designer". In 1935 he moved to Gainsborough Pictures, and in 1936 he became an art director at Warner Bros., where he worked on Michael Powell's film ''Something Always Happens''.
