Protofuse
Julien Bayle (born February 1976 in France) is a French electronic musician and music software trainer. Biography Bayle was born in the South of France. He studied Biology and Computer Sciences in Marseille. During his studies, he explored minimal techno, influenced especially by Carl Craig and Surgeon. His work explores software including Cubase 1.0 and Generator (the precursor to Reaktor). His first live solo shows took place in early 2003. He designed and built the protodeck midi controller, (based on the open-source hardware framework MIDIbox) in 2008. He founded and leads his own studio, Julien Bayle Studio. He provides Ableton Live Suite, Max for Live, and Max/MSP advanced training courses, and also leads workshops in Europe in art and design schools. He is an Ableton Certified Trainer. MIDIbox is a non-commercial open source project with a series of guides on how to build musical instrument device interfaces (MIDI). Through a series of do it yourself tutorials, users are guided in the process of building a basic microcontroller that can also be used to build hardware MIDI control units for various synthesizers, multi-track recording software, and other MIDI devices; as well as stand-alone synthesizers, sequencers and other projects. Pete Namlook (born 25 November 1960 as Peter Kuhlmann in Frankfurt, West Germany – 8 November 2012) was an ambient and electronic music producer and composer. In 1992, he founded the German record label FAX +49-69/450464, which he oversaw. He was inspired by the music of Eberhard Weber, Miles Davis, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chopin, Wendy Carlos, Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd, and most importantly Klaus Schulze. In music, syncopation is a variety of rhythms played together to make a piece of music, making part or all of a tune or piece of music off-beat (music), off-beat. More simply, syncopation is "a disturbance or interruption of the regular flow of rhythm": a "placement of rhythmic stresses or accents where they wouldn't normally occur".
