Wieruszów
Wieruszów (; german: Weruschau) is a town in south-central Poland with 8,446 inhabitants (2020). Situated in the southwestern part of Łódź Voivodeship, it is the seat of the Gmina Wieruszów and Wieruszów County. The town is situated along the Prosna river. History Wieruszów was granted town rights, when it was part of Piast-ruled Poland. The town developed in the Late Middle Ages under the patronage of the Polish noble Wierusz family. It was a private town, administratively located in the Sieradz Voivodeship in the Greater Poland Province of the Kingdom of Poland. The local Catholic parish was erected in 1386 by Przecław of Pogorzela, Bishop of Wrocław. In 1401, Bernard Wierusz founded the Pauline monastery. Pyzdry
Pyzdry (german: Peisern, yi, פּײַזער or ''Peizer'') is a town in Września County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland, with 3,163 inhabitants (2004). History Pyzdry was first mentioned in 1232, when army of Silesian Piast Duke Henry I the Bearded entered Greater Poland. Pyzdry is one of the oldest town of the province, as in 1257 it was mentioned as a location governed by a vogt, which means that a well-established urban center must have already existed here. It is not known when Pyzdry received Magdeburg rights; most likely it happened during the reign of Duke Bolesław the Pious. On June 29, 1318 Ladislaus the Short called at Pyzdry a meeting of Polish nobility and bishops, during which it was agreed that a delegation be sent to Pope John XXII, asking for his permission to grant Polish Crown to Ladislaus. Praszka
Praszka (german: Praschkau) is a town in Olesno County, Opole Voivodeship, Poland, with 7,655 inhabitants (2019). History The oldest known mention of the settlement dates back to 1260. It was granted town rights in 1392 by Polish King Władysław II Jagiełło and new privileges in 1542 and 1620. It was annexed by Prussia in the Second Partition of Poland in 1793. In 1807 regained by the Poles as part of the short-lived Duchy of Warsaw, in 1815 it became part of Congress Poland, later forcibly integrated with Imperial Russia. During the January Uprising weapons for Polish insurgents were smuggled through the town and on April 11, 1863, a Polish unit commanded by Józef Oxiński fought the Battle of Praszka against the Russians nearby.
