Prosecutor General Of Puerto Rico
The Solicitor General of Puerto Rico ( es, Procurador General de Puerto Rico) is the attorney who represents the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in all civil and criminal matters in which it is a party or has an interest, and which are handled on appeal or in any other manner in any territorial court of Puerto Rico, U.S. federal court, or state/territorial court of another jurisdiction. The Solicitor General reports directly to the Secretary of Justice of Puerto Rico and leads the Office of the Solicitor General of Puerto Rico. Fernando Figueroa Santiago (born July 30, 1985) is an American lawyer who is currently serving as the 21st Solicitor General of Puerto Rico. On December 17, 2020, Governor Pedro R. Pierluisi Urrutia nominated Figueroa Santiago to thOffice of the Solicitor General of Puerto Rico On May 10, 2021, the Senate of Puerto Rico confirmed Figueroa in a unanimous vote. Roberto Sánchez Ramos (born 1960 in San Juan, Puerto Rico) is a Judge of the Court of Appeals of Puerto Rico and former Attorney General of Puerto Rico, appointed in 2005 by Governor Aníbal Acevedo Vilá.
