Prophet (Prophet Album)
''Prophet'' is the debut album by the hard-rock band Prophet, released on 14 August 1985 through Total Experience Records. On 21 September album was released in Japan. Production "Prophet" is the only album to feature lead vocalist Dean Fasano and drummer Ted Poley. The latter joined Danger Danger as a lead vocalist two years later. The album was recorded within six months: from January to June 1985. The musicians recorded for a month in each studio. "Prophet" sold well in Europe, and after that the band released the single "Everything You Are (to Me)", for which a music video was soon shot. However, despite the fact that Fasano sang in the video, he actually performed only half of the songs: the tracks "Heart of the Night", "It's Real" and "Listen to Ya'" were performed by Poley, and "Slow Down" — by bassist Scott Metaxas. Prophet (band)
Prophet was an American melodic rock band from New Jersey. The last lineup of the group featured Russell Arcara (vocals), Dave DiPietro (guitar), Ken Dubman (guitar), Scott Metaxas (bass), Joe Zujkowski (keyboards) and Jim Callahan (drums). However, the band had many lineups along its career. History Prophet was founded in the 1980s by two previous members of Icarian and Tom Fuller's Rock City, bassist Scott Metaxas and keyboardist Joe Zujkowski. To complete the group, they invited Ken Dubman (guitar), William Runco (guitar), Bob Butterfield (drums) and Marc Hoffman (vocals). The band started its career playing cover songs by bands such as Queen, Boston, Kansas and Styx. In fact, they were considered to be one of the best cover bands in New Jersey in the 80's. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Pop Rock

Total Experience Records was a record label founded by Lonnie Simmons. Its two major acts were The Gap Band and Yarbrough & Peoples. It originally began in 1977 as a production company whose albums were released by Mercury Records before becoming a label in 1981. From its inception in 1981 to late 1983, Total Experience was a subsidiary label of Mercury's parent company, PolyGram. In 1984, the label changed its distribution from PolyGram to RCA Records. Dean Fasano
Dean Fasano (January 16, 1955 – December 8, 2009) was the lead singer of the bands Message and Prophet. Early years Fasano grew up in New Jersey, United States, and in his youth he got interested in music and singing. His special and emotional voice was long known as one of the most distinctive voices on the New Jersey music scene. In 1973, Dean Fasano was a founding member and lead singer for, what became a world-renowned, progressive rock band, Mirthrandir, Throughout the late 70s he played in various bands with future Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora. Fasano was usually the lead vocalist in these bands. Ted Poley
Ted Poley (born January 5, 1964) is an American singer who is best known as the lead vocalist of the hard rock band Danger Danger. Biography Poley joined New Jersey progressive rock band Prophet (band), Prophet as a drummer. They released their first album in 1985. Poley also sang lead vocals on some of their songs. In 1987, while working with the band's second album, he was approached by Bruno Ravel and Steve West (Danger Danger), Steve West to join Danger Danger and he accepted. With Danger Danger, Poley enjoyed much success as the band caught the late surge wave of 1980s glam metal. Together they released two albums (''Danger Danger (album), Danger Danger'' and ''Screw It!'') and toured with bands like Kiss (band), KISS, Alice Cooper, and others.
