Promise
A promise is a commitment by someone to do or not do something. As a noun ''promise'' means a declaration assuring that one will or will not do something. As a verb it means to commit oneself by a promise to do or give. It can also mean a capacity for good, similar to a value that is to be realized in the near future. In the law of contract, an exchange of promises is usually held to be legally enforceable, according to the Latin maxim ''pacta sunt servanda''. Types There are many types of promises. There are solemn promises, such as marriage vows or military oaths and are conventions. There are legal contracts, enforceable by law. Or, there are fairy tale promises, regrettable and problematic at the time, they must be honored. Promises (Farscape)
''Farscape'' is a science fiction television show. Four regular seasons were produced, from 1999 to 2003. Each season consists of 22 episodes. Each episode is intended to air in a one-hour television timeslot (with commercials), and runs for 44 to 50 minutes. The regular seasons were followed by '' Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars'' in 2004, a 2 part miniseries with an air time of 3 hours. Several of the early episodes of Season One were aired out of the intended order. Ryn Weaver
Ryn (german: Rhein) is a town in northeastern Poland located 19 km southwest of Giżycko, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in Masuria. Until the reorganization of 1999 it had been assigned to Suwałki Voivodeship. It had a population of 3,062 inhabitants as of December 31, 2004. Ryn is located between Lake Ryn and Lake Ołów. Among the notable landmarks of the town are a former Ordensburg castle of the Teutonic Knights (erected ca. 1337) and a 19th-century Dutch windmill. Below the castle in the center of the town, a subterranean channel connects the Matussek pond, a shoaled bay of Lake Ołów, with Lake Ryn and the pond of a mill built by the Teutonic Knights. Promises (The Hunters Album)
''Promises'' is the second full-length album by Canadian rock band The Hunters. The album was released on April 17, 2012 on Stomp Records, their first on a record label. The first single, "Van Party Forever" was released on June 5 and the music video features the band playing with The Sainte Catherines during their farewell tour. The second music video is made entirely of shots from their journey to The Fest 11 in Gainesville. It was filmed during Hurricane Sandy and features the band driving all the way from Florida to Québec in a rental car as all flights were cancelled. It was released on November 27, 2012. A documentary webseries about ''Promises'' promotional tour was released in January 2013. Titled ''Driving on Promises'', the ten episodes cover the whole tour through Quebec and Ontario. , born , is a Japanese music composer from Tokyo, Japan born October 4, 1971. He worked in the Nihon Falcom Corporation as one of the members of Falcom Sound Team J.D.K.. During his time with Falcom, he has composed much music for Falcom games, most notably Brandish. Having known Makoto Shinkai as a coworker in Minori he has composed music for Shinkai's works since ''She and Her Cat''. He is perhaps best known for creating the soundtracks for Shinkai's subsequent works, ''Voices of a Distant Star'', ''The Place Promised in Our Early Days'', '' 5 Centimeters Per Second'' and his final Shinkai collaboration being ''Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below''. As of 2019, he has joined CoMix Wave Films, but no further information is available about what he has done with them since; latest news indicate that he will not be reuniting with Shinkai for '' Suzume no Tojimari''.
