Promina is a municipality in Šibenik-Knin County, Croatia. The village of Oklaj serves as the administration centre of the municipality. Josipa Rimac
Josipa Rimac (; born 25 February 1980) is a Croatian politician who served as Mayor of Knin in three terms between 2005 and 2015. She was a member of the main centre-right Croatian Democratic Union party. Rimac was elected mayor in June 2005 at age 25, making her the youngest mayor in the country since independence in 1991. Born in Lukar (part of Promina municipality), Rimac spending her first four years of schooling in Knin, until the Croatian War of Independence broke out in the 1990s. She then went to school in Rijeka and Split, and returned to Knin in October 1995, when the fighting stopped. Rimac studied at the school of economics where she also learned English. She also spent a lot of time volunteering for the local Red Cross in Knin, and in 2000 was named director of the Red Cross in the city of Knin, being the youngest director in the country. Slavko Kulić (born 21 August 1941) is a Croatian scientist and economist concerned with the sociology of international relations. Kulić was born in Razvođe, Promina. He graduated from the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Zagreb, and made postgraduate studies in philosophy, politics, economics, law and sociology in Zagreb, Belgrade and Ljubljana. He made study visits to the U.S., the former U.S.S.R., China and Europe on the sociology of international relations, especially irenology (peace studies) and polemology (war studies) in the context of international relations. __NOTOC__ Ivan Aralica (born 10 September 1930) is a Croatian novelist and essayist. Born in Promina near Knin, and having finished pedagogical school and Philosophical Faculty at the University of Zadar, Aralica had worked since 1953 as a high school teacher in the backwater villages of the rural hinterland of northern and central Dalmatia. After a period of Communist infatuation (which resulted in a few weak novellas that can be labeled as socialist realism period pieces), Aralica was swept into the vortex of turbulent events known as the Croatian spring (1971). During this tumultuous era he allied with those who advocated greater Croatian autonomy and freedom for Croatian people in Communist Yugoslavia. The crackdown on the Croatian national movement and subsequent professional and social degradation resulted in Aralica’s return to his Christian and Catholic roots, abandonment of doctrinaire propagandist literature and formation of his own literary credo.
