Prometheus (soundtrack)
''Prometheus: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack'' is an original motion picture soundtrack album for the 2012 science fiction film, ''Prometheus''. Written by German composer Marc Streitenfeld, the soundtrack also features two supplemental pieces by English composer Harry Gregson-Williams, and it was conducted by Ben Foster. Development Marc Streitenfeld is a frequent collaborator with Ridley Scott. The ''Prometheus'' project becoming the fifth collaboration between the composer and the director. The score was recorded over one week with a 90-piece orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London, England, where it was also processed by Scott after the fact. Streitenfeld began coming up with ideas for the score after reading the script prior to the commencement of filming. Marc Streitenfeld
Marc Streitenfeld (born 1974) is a German composer of film scores. He has frequently collaborated with director Ridley Scott. Streitenfeld has composed the music for many high-profile Hollywood features as well as critically acclaimed independent films, including '' American Gangster, Body of Lies, The Grey, Prometheus, Poltergeist'' and '' All I See Is You''. Metro Voices is a choir group based in London, England, that specialises in performing for the motion pictures. Ain't It Cool News (AICN) is an entertainment news website founded by Harry Knowles and run by his sister Dannie Knowles since September 2017, dedicated to news, rumors, and reviews of upcoming and current films, television, and comic book projects, with an emphasis on science fiction, superhero, fantasy, horror, and action genres. ''Alien: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack'' The iconic, avant-garde score to the film ''Alien'' was composed by Jerry Goldsmith and is considered by some to be one of his best, most visceral scores. Rather than focusing on themes, Goldsmith creates a bleak and dissonant soundscape that fits the film's dark and intense atmosphere, with only a few "romantic" cues.
