Project ALF
''Project: ALF'' is a 1996 American Television film, made-for-television science fiction film directed by Dick Lowry which serves as a sequel to the final episode "ALF (season 4)#ep102, Consider Me Gone" of the 1986–1990 sitcom ''ALF (TV series), ALF''. It was broadcast in the U.S. by American Broadcasting Company, ABC and in Canada on CHCH-DT, CHCH-TV on February 17, 1996. The film was released on DVD in 2005. Few of the original cast members of ''ALF'' were featured; the only actors to appear in both the series and film were Paul Fusco (the voice and puppeteer of ALF) and Beverly Archer (who played Mrs. Byrd on the TV series and Dr. Carnage in the film). ''Project: ALF'' was poorly received when it aired in 1996 because of the absence of the Tanners, weak characters, and failure to properly conclude the series. ALF (TV Series)
''ALF'' is an American television sitcom that aired on NBC from September 22, 1986, to March 24, 1990. The title character is ALF (an acronym for "Alien Life Form" whose real name is Gordon Shumway) who crash-lands in the garage of the suburban middle-class Tanner family. The series stars Max Wright as father Willie Tanner, Anne Schedeen as mother Kate Tanner and Andrea Elson and Benji Gregory as their children, Lynn and Brian Tanner. ALF was performed by puppeteer Paul Fusco, who co-created the show with Tom Patchett. However, in the scenes in which the character appeared in full body, a small costumed actor was briefly used (then uncredited in that role), the Hungarian-born Michu Meszaros. Broadcast history The season aired Mondays at 8:00-8:30 pm (EST) on NBC until March 1990. The final three episodes aired on Saturdays at 8:00-8:30 pm (EST). Reruns would air temporarily on Sundays at 8:30-9:00 pm (EST) during the follow-up to the spring lineup but, it would return to the series’s traditional slot for the final airings on NBC.
