The 27th Producers Guild of America Awards (also known as 2016 Producers Guild Awards), honoring the best film and television producers of 2015, were held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California on January 23, 2016. The nominations for documentary film were announced on November 23, 2015, and the nominations for television were announced on December 8, 2015. The final film and television nominations were announced on January 5, 2016. The Century Plaza Hotel
The Fairmont Century Plaza is a landmark 19-story luxury hotel in Los Angeles. Located in Century City, the hotel forms a sweeping crescent design fronting the Avenue of the Stars, adjacent to the twin Century Plaza Towers and the 2000 Avenue of the Stars complex. At the time of its opening in 1966, the Century Plaza Hotel was the highest building in Century City, with views extending all the way to the Pacific Ocean. It was also the first hotel to have color televisions in all of its rooms. The hotel closed for renovations in 2016, and reopened on September 27, 2021. A television producer is a person who oversees one or more aspects of video production on a television show, television program. Some producers take more of an executive role, in that they conceive new programs and pitch them to the television networks, but upon acceptance they focus on business matters, such as budgets and contracts. Andrew Macdonald (producer)
Andrew Macdonald (born 1966) is a Scottish film producer, best known for his collaborations with screenwriter John Hodge and director Danny Boyle, including ''Shallow Grave'' (1994), ''Trainspotting'' (1996), '' The Beach'' (2000) and ''28 Days Later'' (2002).
