Priyanka Phogat
Priyanka Phogat (born 12 May 1993) is an Indian female wrestler who won a silver medal at the 2016 Asian Wrestling Championships. Personal life She is the sister of Commonwealth Games gold medalist wrestler Vinesh Phogat, niece of Dronacharya Award winner Mahavir Phogat, and cousin of Commonwealth Games gold medalist wrestlers - Geeta and Babita. Career In 2015, Phogat bagged a seven lakh contract with the Punjab franchise of the Pro Wrestling League. Phogat won the silver medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Bangkok in February 2016 in the 55 kg category. She was defeated in the gold medal bout by Mongolia's Davaasükhiin Otgontsetseg. Pro Wrestling League
The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) is an Indian sport wrestling promotion that was first established in 2015. It was initiated by ProSportify and Wrestling Federation of India. Structure The Pro Wrestling League includes six franchises, which represent cities throughout India. The teams are formed via auction. The league adheres to United World Wrestling rules for all weight categories. All the seasons so far of PWL hosted six teams, each consisting of 9 players. During the group stage all the team meet each other once. While the top after group stages qualifies to the playoffs. During group stages out of 9 weight categories 7 category bouts are held, the teams gets to block any one category bouts they want, they have to play all bouts even if they win the match before the last bout. Phogat Sisters
The Phogat sisters are six sisters from Haryana, India, all of whom are wrestlers. In order of their birth, they are Geeta, Babita, Priyanka, Ritu, Vinesh, and Sangeeta. While Geeta, Babita, Ritu, and Sangeeta are daughters of former wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat, Priyanka and Vinesh were brought up by Mahavir after their father, who is the younger brother of Mahavir, died when they were young. Mahavir trained all six of them in wrestling in their home village of Balali in Bhiwani district. Three of the Phogat sisters, Geeta, Babita, and Vinesh, are gold medalists in different weight categories at the Commonwealth Games, while Priyanka has won a silver medal at the Asian Championships. Davaasükhiin Otgontsetseg (born September 26, 1990 in Darkhan) is a freestyle wrestler from Mongolia. She won a World Championship silver medal in the -51 kg division in 2011, and a bronze in 2016 in the -55 kg division. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the -48 kg division.
