Private Terms (April 6, 1985 – January 22, 2010) was a millionaire American Thoroughbred racehorse and successful stallion. He was the son of Private Account, who in turn was the son of the great Damascus. Bred in Kentucky by Stuart Janney, Jr., he finished racing with a record of 13-0-0 in 17 starts with career earnings of United States dollar, $1,243,947. Seeking The Gold (April 7, 1985 – July 28, 2016) was an American thoroughbred racehorse and a successful sire. Background and Family Seeking The Gold, a bay colt, was bred in Kentucky by Ogden Phipps, who also owned him. One of numerous top class runners sired by Mr. Prospector, Seeking The Gold was out of the Buckpasser mare Con Game, who also produced Remsen Stakes winner Fast Play and the Jamaica Handicap winner Stacked Pack. Racing career Seeking The Gold ran only once as a juvenile, making his debut race in late December 1987 a winning one. Seeking The Gold showed his best form as a three-year-old in 1988. He won the Super Derby, Peter Pan Stakes, Dwyer Stakes, and Swale Stakes, a race in which he went into undefeated. Afternoon Deelites (February 28, 1992 – February 14, 2023) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse. Background Afternoon Deelites was bred and raced by pianist, composer and music producer, Burt Bacharach (1928–2023) and trained by Hall of Fame inductee Richard Mandella. The horse was born in West Virginia, sired by Wood Memorial Stakes winner Private Terms, out of the mare Intimate Girl, whose sire was the 1978 Canadian Champion Two-Year-Old Colt Medaille d'Or, a son of the legendary Secretariat. Racing career Afternoon Deelites won several Graded stakes races including two Grade 1 events. In 1994 he won the Hollywood Futurity in stakes record time for a mile and a sixteenth that still stands as at the end of 2022.
