Priska Nufer
Priska Nufer (born 11 February 1992) is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer, and specializes in the speed events of downhill and super-G. Nufer has competed at three World Championships, the first in 2015 at Beaver Creek, USA, in the super-G event. She also represented Switzerland at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, in the combined event. After the Olympics, Nufer won her first World Cup race in late February 2022, a downhill on home-country snow in Crans-Montana Crans-Montana is a municipality in the district of Sierre in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. On 1 January 2017 the former municipalities of Chermignon, Mollens, Montana and Randogne merged to form the new municipality of Crans-Montana. Alpnach
Alpnach is a village in the canton of Obwalden in Switzerland. It comprises the villages of Alpnach Dorf, Alpnachstad and Schoried. History Alpnach is first mentioned about 870 as ''Alpenacho''. Geography Alpnach has an area, , of . Of this area, 32.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 54.1% is forested. Alpine Skiing At The 2022 Winter Olympics
Alpine skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held at the Yanqing National Alpine Ski Centre in Yanqing District, China. The competitions took place from 6 to 20 February 2022. Speed events were held on "Rock" course and technical events on "Ice River" course, for both men and women. Team event was held on "Rainbow." A total of 306 quota spots (153 per gender) were distributed to the alpine skiing, a reduction of 14 from 2018. Eleven events were contested: five for men, five for women, and one mixed (team). Qualification A maximum of 306 quota spots were available to athletes to compete at the games. A maximum of twenty-two athletes could be entered by a National Olympic Committee, with a maximum of eleven men or eleven women. The International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Skiing World Cup is the premier circuit for alpine skiing competition. The inaugural FIS World Cup season launched in January 1967 and this 51st season began on 22 October 2016 in Sölden, Austria, and concluded in the United States at Aspen on 19 March 2017. The biennial World Championships interrupted the tour in early February in Saint Moritz, Switzerland. The Women's Combined competition in the 2015–16 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, 2016 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup involved three events, first a Alpine skiing combined, super-combined (downhill and one run of Slalom skiing, slalom), and then two Alpine skiing, Alpine combined (a Super-G and one run of slalom). The women's downhill competition in the 2016 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup involved nine events, including the season finale in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The women's super-G competition in the 2016 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup involved sight events, including the season final in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The season competition was a two-person battle between 2014 discipline champion Lara Gut from Switzerland and defending discipline champion (and five-time winner) Lindsey Vonn from the USA. Vonn won all of the first three races, but she suffered a season-ending injury in the sixth.
