The Mission Prishtina High Schoolprepares students to be responsible citizens and active learners. Prishtina High School provides an American-style education in Kosovo. The school is located in thMatiqanregion of Prishtina. Classes first began on 1 September 2007. They started working with only 26 students the first year. The teachers all came from the U.S. Don Tingle was the principal of the school and he was the one to work with thMinistry of Educationin order to get the school licensed. At the beginning of 2010-2011 year 130 students have enrolled, including the high school and a middle school program for grades 6 to 8. Now, PHS, as an internationally accredited American-style school, offers grades 1 to 12. Students there have to complete the following subjects: 4 years of English, Math, Science, History, Language, Physical Education, Fine Arts. The Network of International Christian Schools (NICS) is an organization that consists of 15 schools in 13 countries in Asia, Africa, South America, Europe and includes an online school in North America. There are plans in the works for more schools in the near future. History In 1983, Joe Hale, his wife Ann, and some other missionaries formed Liberty Christian School ( International Christian School) in South Korea. They initially anticipated that this school would educate about 30 students, but on the school’s inaugural day 83 students arrived for classes. The school continued to grow, and currently there are three NICS schools in South Korea with a total enrollment of over 1200 students. Wikimapia is a geographic online encyclopedia project. The project implements an interactive "clickable" web map that utilizes Google Maps with a geographically-referenced wiki system, with the aim to mark and describe all geographical objects in the world.
