Prior Jackson Homeplace, also known as Cedar Lawn and Fern Valley, is a historic home located near Fayette, Howard County, Missouri. It was built about 1856, and is a two-story, three bay, Classical Revival style red brick dwelling with a two-story rear wing with an enclosed gallery porch. It measures 51 feet by 44 feet and has a pitched hipped roof. Fayette, Missouri
Fayette is a city in and the county seat of Howard County, Missouri, United States. It is part of the Columbia, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city's population was 2,803 at the 2020 census. History Fayette was laid out in 1823. The community was named after Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette. A post office has been in operation at Fayette since 1824. Howard County is located in the U.S. state of Missouri, with its southern border formed by the Missouri River. As of the 2020 census, the population was 10,151. Its county seat is Fayette.
