Princess Eleonora Fugger von Babenhausen (October 4, 1864 in Schrozberg, Bartenstein — March 1, 1945 in Vienna) was an Austrian noblewoman, socialite and chronicler of the Fugger family, House of Fugger. She is also known as ''Nora Fugger'' in her autobiography. Georg Constantin Heinrich Carl Friedrich Maria Fugger von Babenhausen (24 July 1889 – 1 August 1934) was the head of the House of Fugger-Babenhausen from 1925 to 1934. Early life Georg was born on 24 July 1889 in Sopron in the Kingdom of Hungary into the ancient House of Fugger. Frederick William I (20 August 1802 – 6 January 1875) was, between 1847 and 1866, the last Prince-elector of Hesse-Kassel (or Hesse-Cassel). Early life He was born at Hanau on 20 August 1802. He was the son of Prince William, later William II, Elector of Hesse, and Princess Augusta of Prussia, daughter of King Frederick William II of Prussia. Princess Gertrude of Hanau and Hořowitz (''née'' Falkenstein; 18 May 1803 – 9 July 1882), was a German aristocrat. She was the morganatic spouse of Frederick William, Elector of Hesse. Biography Gertrude Falkenstein was the daughter of an apothecary from Bonn. Kurt Schuschnigg
Kurt Alois Josef Johann von Schuschnigg (; 14 December 1897 – 18 November 1977) was an Austrian Fatherland Front politician who was the Chancellor of the Federal State of Austria from the 1934 assassination of his predecessor Engelbert Dollfuss until the 1938 ''Anschluss'' with Nazi Germany. Although Schuschnigg accepted that Austria was a "German state" and that Austrians were Germans, he was strongly opposed to Adolf Hitler's goal to absorb Austria into the Third Reich and wished for it to remain independent. When Schuschnigg's efforts to keep Austria independent had failed, he resigned his office. After the Anschluss he was arrested, kept in solitary confinement and eventually interned in various concentration camps.
