Princess Diana Margherita of Bourbon-Parma (''Diane Marguerite de Bourbon-Parme'' in French; 22 May 1932 – 4 May 2020) was a French aristocrat and member of the House of Bourbon-Parma, a cadet branch of the Spanish royal family. Biography Princess Diana was born in Paris on 22 May 1932 to Prince Gaetano of Bourbon-Parma, the youngest child of Robert I, Duke of Parma and Infanta Maria Antonia of Portugal, and Princess Margarete von Thurn und Taxis, the youngest child of Prince Alessandro, 1st Duke of Castel Duino and Princess Marie de Ligne. On 15 March 1955 she married Prince Franz Josef Hubertus Maria Meinrad Michael of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, son of Frederick, Prince of Hohenzollern, in a civil ceremony London. They later had a Catholic ceremony on 16 April 1955 in Krauchenwies. She gave birth to a son, Alexander, in 1957. The House of Bourbon-Parma ( it, Casa di Borbone di Parma) is a cadet branch of the Spanish royal family, whose members once ruled as King of Etruria and as Duke of Parma and Piacenza, Guastalla, and Lucca. The House descended from the French Capetian dynasty in male line. Its name of Bourbon-Parma comes from the main name (Bourbon) and the other (Parma) from the title of Duke of Parma. The title was held by the Spanish Bourbons as the founder was the great-grandson of Ranuccio II Farnese, Duke of Parma. Krauchenwies
Krauchenwies is a municipality in the district of Sigmaringen in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. Geography Krauchenwies lies about south of Sigmaringen and north of Lake Constance. It is on the ''Oberschwäbischen Barockstraße'' (west route) and on the southern edge of the conservation area of ''Obere Donau''. The Ablach, which originates on the continental divide, flows through town and on to the Danube. The landscape is hilly and wooded, sloping down to the Danube valley. History Krauchenwies is first mentioned in a document from the Reichenau monastery in 1202. The name appeared as ''Cruchinwis'' (meaning "Cruchin meadow"). By 1216, it had its own parish.
