Baxter Dury (born 18 December 1971) is an English indie musician, originally signed to Rough Trade Records. Early life Baxter Dury is the son of Ian Dury and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Rathmell. As a young boy he appeared on the front cover of Dury's album ''New Boots and Panties!!''. He left school at the age of fourteen. The Ian Dury biopic ''Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll'' (2010) features Bill Milner as Baxter. Career In 2002 Dury's ''Oscar Brown EP'' was "Record of the Week" in ''NME''. In 2014 he signed a new recording contract with PIAS subsidiary Le Label and released a new album ''It's A Pleasure''. In October 2017 Dury previewed the releases of his first album for Heavenly Recordings with the release of the single "Miami" alongside a video produced by Roger Sargent. ''Loud and Quiet'' is a British bi-monthly music magazine that focuses on new music from underground indie, alternative, electronic and hip hop artists. History and profile The magazine was founded in January 2005 by Stuart Stubbs as a home-printed fanzine in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. It relocated to London in 2006. Issue 01 of ''Loud And Quiet'' featured Pete Doherty on its cover. Only 150 copies were published in a home-made fanzine style and distributed through independent record shops and clothes shops in London, England. Sleaford Mods are an English post-punk music duo, formed in 2007 in Nottingham. The band features vocalist Jason Williamson and, since 2012, musician Andrew Fearn. They are known for their abrasive, minimalist musical style and embittered explorations of austerity-era Britain, culture, and working class life, delivered in Williamson's East Midlands accent. The duo have released several albums to critical praise. History Williamson was born 10 November 1970, and raised in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
