''The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian'' is a 2008 high fantasy film directed by Andrew Adamson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, based on the 1951 novel ''Prince Caspian'', Produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media, the second published and fourth chronological novel in the children's book series ''The Chronicles of Narnia'' by C. Andrew Adamson
Andrew Ralph Adamson (born 1 December 1966) is a New Zealand film director, producer, and screenwriter based in Los Angeles, where he directed the Academy Award-winning animated films ''Shrek'' and ''Shrek 2''. He was director, executive producer, and scriptwriter for the 2005 production of '' The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe''. He also worked on the movies ''Batman Forever'' and '' Batman & Robin'' as a visual effects supervisor. Narnia is a fantasy world created by C. S. Lewis as the primary location for his series of seven fantasy novels for children, ''The Chronicles of Narnia''. The world is named after the country of Narnia, where much of the ''Chronicles'' takes place. In Narnia, some animals talk, mythical beasts abound, and magic is common.
