Primitive Race
Primitive Race is an international industrial supergroup created by Chris Kniker and featuring Raymond Watts (PIG, KMFDM), Dave Ogilvie (Skinny Puppy), Mark Gemini Thwaite ( Peter Murphy, Spear of Destiny, Tricky, Mob Research, The Mission, Gary Numan), Erie Loch (LUXT, Blownload, Exageist), Chuck Mosley (Faith No More), Graham Crabb (Pop Will Eat Itself) and Kourtney Klein (Combichrist, Nitzer Ebb). The project began as a social media campaign on Twitter and has since incorporated a successful crowd funding element on Indiegogo. Peter Murphy (musician)
Peter John Joseph Murphy (born 11 July 1957) is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the vocalist for the post-punk goth rock band Bauhaus. After Bauhaus initially disbanded, Murphy formed Dali's Car with Japan's bassist Mick Karn and released one album, '' The Waking Hour'' (1984). He later went on to release a number of solo albums, including '' Should the World Fail to Fall Apart'' (1986) and ''Love Hysteria'' (1988). Nitzer Ebb () are a British EBM group formed in 1982 by Essex school friends Vaughan "Bon" Harris (programming, synthesizers, drums, vocals), Douglas McCarthy (vocals), and David Gooday (drums). History Initial releases (1983–1987) The group released their demo ''Basic Pain Procedure'' in 1983, but it was two years until they met PWL producer Phil Harding, who produced their 1985 debut single "Isn't It Funny How Your Body Works?" and helped them set up their own label, Power Of Voice Communications. Combichrist
Combichrist is an American aggrotech / industrial metal band formed in 2003 by Norwegian vocalist Andy LaPlegua, who also founded the bands Icon of Coil, Panzer AG, Scandinavian Cock and Scandy. Combichrist was formed in Atlanta, Georgia and is now based in Oak Hill, Florida. The band consists of only LaPlegua in the studio, with a changing lineup of live performing members. Kourtney Klein
Kourtney Klein is a music producer, vocalist, keyboardist, and drummer who is best known as the lead vocalist the synthpop band Army on the Dance Floor. She was previously a member of Combichrist. Biography Klein grew up in Temecula, California. A classically trained mallet percussionist, she attended Riverside Community College, where she studied sound engineering. In 2005, she hosted the Spike TV show '' Boom!''. She performed as a touring musician for industrial bands Nitzer Ebb and Combichrist between 2006 and 2009 before forming her own group, Army on the Dance Floor, in 2011. Pop Will Eat Itself
Pop Will Eat Itself are an English alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Stourbridge in the West Midlands of England with members from Birmingham, Coventry and the Black Country. Initially known as a grebo act, they changed style to incorporate sample-driven indie and industrial rock. Graham Crabb describes their sound as "electronic, punk, alternative hip-hop, hybrid music for fucking, fighting & smoking cigars". Faith No More
Faith No More is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1979. Before settling on the current name in July 1983, the band performed under the names Sharp Young Men and later Faith No Man. Bassist Billy Gould, keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Roddy Bottum and drummer Mike Bordin are the longest-remaining members of the band, having been involved since its inception. Charles Henry Mosley III (December 26, 1959 – November 9, 2017) was an American musician, singer and songwriter, who was the frontman for Faith No More from 1984 to 1988. During his tenure with the band, they released two albums, ''We Care a Lot'' and ''Introduce Yourself''. The Mission (known as The Mission UK in the United States) are an English gothic rock band formed in 1986.
